Terms of Service

These Terms apply when you access or use ReadyCents websites, ReadyCents Cloud, ReadyCents self-hosted packages, downloads, updates, documentation, support, APIs, imports, bank-connection features, and related services.

By using ReadyCents, creating an account, downloading a licensed package, self-hosting ReadyCents, connecting a bank provider, or purchasing a license or subscription, you agree to these Terms and the ReadyCents Privacy Policy.

• You must be able to form a binding contract. If you are under 18, you may use ReadyCents only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for activity under your account, household, workspace, license key, self-hosted instance, and support requests.
• You must protect passwords, login links, API keys, license keys, provider tokens, environment variables, backups, and self-hosted infrastructure.
• You may not share account access except through ReadyCents household or workspace features intended for that purpose.

ReadyCents Cloud is the hosted version of ReadyCents. We may update, improve, restrict, suspend, or discontinue hosted features over time. You are responsible for reviewing imported data, keeping records you need, and maintaining your own backups where exports are available.

Hosted bank connections, when available, may use Plaid or another provider. Those providers are not ReadyCents, and their terms and privacy policies apply when you authorize them.

A self-hosted ReadyCents license is a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and run one authorized copy of ReadyCents for your own personal, household, or internal business budgeting, subject to the plan limits shown at purchase.

These restrictions apply to ReadyCents itself and to any copy, backup, fork, patch, derivative work, modified build, container, package, installer, documentation bundle, or update you receive. Changing the name, logo, domain, packaging, code, styling, or deployment method does not create a new right to distribute or commercialize ReadyCents.

If any plan, invoice, checkout page, quote, or written order grants narrower rights than these Terms, the narrower rights control. If it grants broader rights, the broader rights apply only if signed or otherwise expressly approved in writing by ReadyCents.

• ReadyCents Cloud support covers the hosted app, account access, billing, imports, and supported product behavior.
• Self-hosted support covers the official package and documented setup path, but you remain responsible for your server, database, backups, reverse proxy, email provider, provider credentials, operating system, and third-party hosting account.
• ReadyCents may decline support for modified builds, unsupported versions, unlicensed copies, unsafe configurations, or third-party infrastructure we cannot inspect.
• Updates may change requirements, dependencies, database migrations, or supported providers. You are responsible for applying updates safely in self-hosted deployments.

You keep ownership of the budget records, transactions, envelopes, notes, imports, files, and other content you submit to ReadyCents. You grant ReadyCents the limited rights needed to host, process, display, secure, back up, troubleshoot, and support that content as described in the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for having the right to upload, import, store, connect, or share any data you provide. Do not upload information you are not allowed to use.

ReadyCents may allow manual entry, CSV import, YNAB migration, Plaid, SimpleFIN, or other data paths. You authorize ReadyCents and relevant providers to access, import, process, and display data you choose to connect or upload.

Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. ReadyCents is not responsible for third-party availability, accuracy, delays, changes, fees, or security incidents outside ReadyCents control.

ReadyCents is budgeting and record-keeping software. It does not provide financial, legal, tax, accounting, investment, credit, insurance, or debt-settlement advice. Reports, debt estimates, projections, tax tags, and imported data are educational and organizational tools only.

You are responsible for reviewing data, reconciling accounts, confirming tax treatment, making financial decisions, and consulting qualified professionals where appropriate.

• Use ReadyCents unlawfully, deceptively, abusively, or in a way that harms ReadyCents, users, support staff, providers, or infrastructure.
• Attempt to access accounts, workspaces, data, systems, tokens, or source materials without authorization.
• Interfere with security, rate limits, license controls, billing controls, authentication, or provider integrations.
• Scrape, crawl, extract, copy, monitor, or harvest ReadyCents content, product behavior, user data, or private materials except as expressly allowed.
• Transmit malware, spam, abusive content, or material that violates rights of others.
• Misrepresent ReadyCents affiliation, endorsement, ownership, support status, or license rights.

Paid subscriptions, self-hosted licenses, renewals, trials, discounts, and refunds are governed by the checkout, invoice, plan description, and any written order terms shown at purchase. Taxes may apply.

Founder Lifetime is a limited, non-transferable, one-time account offer for hosted ReadyCents access while ReadyCents Cloud remains offered. Connected Basic Founder supports bring-your-own SimpleFIN and Lunch Flow connections and does not include managed Plaid. Cloud Premium Founder and existing Founder Lifetime purchases also include ten managed Plaid institution logins. All founder plans include advanced insights and Tax Toolkit. Founder access does not include additional paid Plaid capacity, SimpleFIN or Lunch Flow provider fees, other third-party provider charges, self-hosted distribution rights, or a promise that every third-party integration will remain available forever. A full refund ends Founder access and returns the spot to the offer pool.

ReadyCents may suspend or terminate access, support, updates, downloads, license keys, accounts, or hosted services if you violate these Terms, create security or legal risk, fail to pay required fees, or use ReadyCents outside the rights granted to you.

ReadyCents, including its software, source code, compiled code, product design, workflows, documentation, names, logos, trademarks, icons, page layouts, and protected content, is owned by ReadyCents or its licensors. No ownership transfers to you.

Feedback, suggestions, bug reports, and ideas may be used by ReadyCents without restriction or compensation, while your personal information remains governed by the Privacy Policy.

ReadyCents is provided "as is" and "as available" to the fullest extent allowed by law. We do not promise that ReadyCents will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every provider, accurate for every financial institution, or suitable for audited statements, tax filings, lending decisions, or regulated reporting.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, ReadyCents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of profits; loss of data; lost opportunities; provider failures; self-hosted misconfiguration; or decisions you make based on ReadyCents.

We may update these Terms as ReadyCents changes. Continued use after updated Terms are posted means you accept the updated Terms unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.
