Built after my own budget stopped fitting.

ReadyCents was founded after I got injured. YNAB is a real zero-based system, and it had worked for me for years, but the pace and structure it asked of me no longer fit the life I was actually living.

On top of the budget itself, I needed a tax tracking system that lived inside it, not bolted on somewhere else. I did not want to pay several other companies just to stitch together the pieces I actually needed.

Nothing on the market did both well at a price that made sense, so I started building ReadyCents: a zero-based envelope budget with tax tracking built in.

The price increases, and the constant push of books, courses and extras that had nothing to do with budgeting, with no opt out option, never sat right with me. I built ReadyCents to leave that behind, and that promise carries over to anyone who joins: no upsells for things that are not part of your budget.
