Start with what actually happened
Add an outflow for money spent, an inflow for money received, or a transfer when value moved between accounts you own. Choose the account, payee, amount, date, and treatment that match the real activity. The amount field can calculate expressions such as 12.50+4.25.
Scheduled and repeating transactions stay visible until their due date. Posting one records the real activity and advances the next occurrence when the schedule repeats.
Split, tag, flag, and attach details
Split one transaction across several envelopes, with an optional memo and tags on each line. Tags help with later searches and exports. Flags provide a quick visual marker without changing budget math.
When Receipt Capture is on, add one or more receipt files to the transaction. You can open or remove an attachment later; removing it does not delete the transaction.
Review synced activity and use bulk actions
Bank-imported transactions can wait for approval, a match, or an envelope. Review the bank payee, amount, account, and proposed match before approving. In the Ledger or an account register, select several visible rows to apply supported actions together, such as categorizing, changing treatment, setting a flag, approving, or deleting eligible rows.
Track money someone owes you
On an outflow or split line, turn on Expected reimbursement and name the person who should repay it. ReadyCents tracks that amount as a claim instead of ordinary personal spending.
When repayment arrives, add the inflow, turn on Reimbursement, and choose the outstanding claim. This reduces what is owed without counting the repayment as new income. The Reimbursements page also lets you request repayment from another ReadyCents user, forgive a claim, or move recovered money.
Move money between budgets or people
Use the Transfers workspace for a transfer between ReadyCents budgets or for a send/request flow with another ReadyCents user. Each side chooses its own private budget, account, and envelope. The shared record tracks the amount, purpose, date, and status without exposing the other person's full budget.
This is different from an account transfer. An account transfer moves value between accounts you own inside one budget. A budget or user transfer connects two separate budget decisions and may require the receiving side to accept it.
